InfiniBand Whitepapers and Ebooks

Infiniband is an industry-standard specification that defines a high-speed I/O architecture for interconnecting servers, storage, communications infrastructure equipment and embedded systems.  Infiniband currently supports three levels of link performance – 10Gb/s, 20Gb/s and 40Gb/s, and there is a roadmap for 100Gb/s speeds beyond 2011.  Ethernet and Fiber Channel technologies connect into the edge of Infiniband architecture-enabled compute resources, providing IT managers with the ability to better balance I/O and processing resources within a data center environment.  As virtural machine deployments continue to become more prolific, and applications more I/O intensive (for example CRM and data mining), the Infiniband market is expected to grow from $150M to $1B in 2011.
